Arrival at Malta International Airport

DAY 2

At 09.00 Hrs. we will start our full day excursion by visiting Valletta, The Capital City. Our guided tour begins with a visit to Upper Barracca Gardens, which command spectacular panoramic views of the Grand Harbour and all its natural inlets, harbours and bays.
The tour then proceeds to St. John co-Cathedral, the one time conventual Church of the Sovereign Order of the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem. At the Cathedral we will have the opportunity to view the two Caravaggios in the oratory and the Cathedral Museum. The excursion continues with an outside view of the Grand Masters Palace.
We then have lunch in one of the Capitals finest restaurants.
After lunch we will visit the Malta Experience, a dramatic multi-media show that outlines the history of the Maltese islands prehistoric times to the present day. The return journey to the hotel also involves a panoramic ride along the shores of the Grand Harbour. We will arrive at the hotel by 17.00 hrs.

DAY 3

Today we will visit the highlights of Malta. This full day tour is one of the best ways of exploring many of Maltas sites in the space of a few hours.
The tour kicks off with a visit to Mdina, Maltas old capital city. Mdina knows its origins back in the Bronze Age. The visit to Mdina also includes a guided tour of the magnificent Cathedral and a short trip to the citys ramparts, whereupon one may come across stunning views of the entire island.
The tour continues in Rabat with a visit to St Pauls Grotto and the early Christian Underground Catacombs. Lunch will be served. After lunch the Tour makes its way to the Ta Qali Crafts Centre, incorporating the renowned glass blowing factory, an ideal place to see the traditional
Maltese arts and crafts and the way in which they are manufactured.
The tour then proceeds to San Anton Gardens, official residence of the President of the Republic of Malta. Finally the highlights of Malta tour winds up in Mosta, where one may visit the famous Mosta Rotunda, one of Europes largest free-standing domes. We will be back at the hotel by 17.00 hrs.

DAY 4

Today we visit Gozo and the Ggantija Temples. The tour begins with a visit to the Ggantija Prehistoric Temples in the village of Xaghra. We visit the ancient Citadel and the fortifications of the gozitan capital: Victoria (also known as Rabat). The tour then proceeds with a short trip to the Basilica of ta Pinu and to Xlendi Bay.
A visit to the Fontana Cottage where one can admire the typical handmade lace and knitwear for which the island of Gozo is renowned. The full day Gozo tour also includes a stop for lunch in one of Gozos more renowned restaurants as well as some free time for shopping: Gozo is well known for its woolen goods and traditional handmade lace.
Finally we embark the ferry boat at Mgarr Harbour to return to Malta. We will be at the hotel by 17:00 hrs.

DAY 5

Todays tour takes us first to a lovely part of the island Zurrieq and its famous fjord known as Wied Iz-Zurrieq. One may hop into a typical Maltese skiff (called a dghajsa) so as to better explore the spectacular Blue Grotto, a natural cavern that may be found at sea level below the imposing southern cliffs.
Then we proceed to the southernmost part of the island, more specifically, the picturesque fishing villages of Marsaxlokk, Birzebbuga and Marsascala, where we stop for lunch.
After lunch the tour goes onto the Prehistoric track with a visit to the immensely well-preserved Tarxien Neolithic Temples, dating back to 2500 BC. We will be back at the hotel by 16:30hrs.
